In the U.S., approximately 14.5% of people aged 12 and older struggle with a substance use disorder, yet only 6.5% receive treatment. Alcohol use disorder affects about 10.2% of individuals, while 6.8% experience marijuana dependence. Opioids contribute to over 107,000 overdose deaths annually. Behavioral addictions, such as gambling (1–2%) and food addiction (2.8%), also impact millions. With relapse rates for addiction ranging from 40–60%, the need for effective, faith-based recovery solutions has never been greater.
Addiction is more than a personal struggle—it’s a crisis that devastates families, burdens communities, and costs society billions. The financial impact is staggering, with substance abuse costing the U.S. over $600 billion annually in healthcare, lost productivity, and criminal justice expenses. Beyond the numbers, addiction shatters families, leaving children in foster care, marriages in ruins, and loved ones in endless cycles of worry, grief, and loss. The ripple effect extends far beyond the individual—it's a community-wide battle that demands real solutions.
Addiction destroys lives, but Saved Life Chapters "WELLS" and The Quest to Become Recovered Addiction Recovery Discipleship Curriculum offer real hope and a real solution. Through The Quest to Become Recovered, we go beyond sobriety—helping men and women break chains, rebuild their lives, and walk in true freedom. Each chapter is a step toward transformation, built on discipleship, accountability, and faith.
Your past doesn’t define you. Your recovery starts here.
SL Chapters (Individual "Wells") are faith-based recovery meetings designed for those seeking true transformation—not just sobriety, but a renewed life in Christ. Unlike traditional recovery groups, these gatherings focus on discipleship, individual responsibility, accountability, and the power of God's Word to break chains and bring lasting freedom.
Each SL Chapter Meeting follows a structured format:
✔ Opening Prayer & Worship – Setting the focus on Christ
✔ Recovery Teaching – A lesson from The Quest to Become Recovered
✔ Personal Testimonies & Sharing – Encouragement through real stories/sharing
✔ Accountability– Walking in truth and honesty in authentic community
✔ Closing Prayer & Commissioning – Strength to walk in freedom.
These are more than meetings—they’re battles won, lives changed, and disciples made. If addiction has stolen your purpose, it's time to take it back.
JOIN a Saved Life: The Quest to Become Recovered chapter TODAY and step into real recovery. Step into real community.
In the earliest days of Christianity, before cathedrals, pulpits, and formal church buildings, believers gathered in homes. They met in small, intimate groups—sharing meals, studying Scripture, praying, and supporting one another in faith. These gatherings were the foundation of the Church, fueled by the Holy Spirit and committed to living out the Gospel in real, everyday ways.
At Saved Life, we embrace this same model, creating a network of believers who meet in homes, coffee shops, and recovery spaces—just as the early church did. We believe discipleship is not about attendance in a building but about transformation in a community.
Each Saved Life Chapter serves as an individual "Well," a place of spiritual refreshment, renewal, and transformation. Just as a well provides life-sustaining water, each chapter offers the Living Water of Christ through discipleship, recovery, and community. These Wells are not just meeting places; they are sources of restoration where people can encounter God, experience healing, and be equipped to live out their faith. Whether in a coffee shop, a recovery home, or a church plant, every chapter is a beacon of hope, drawing the thirsty to the true source of life—Jesus Christ.
How Saved Life Chapters Reflect the Early Church:
1. Biblical Foundation: The Book of Acts gives us a clear picture of the early church: “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:46-47 (NKJV). This was the organic, Spirit-led movement that fueled the rapid spread of the Gospel. Saved Life Chapters follow this same principle, meeting in smaller, relational settings where transformation happens naturally.
2. Discipleship Over Attendance: Rather than emphasizing church membership or large gatherings, we focus on making disciples who make disciples. Each Saved Life Chapter serves as a training ground for faith—where believers can grow, sharpen one another, and be equipped to carry out the mission of Christ.
3. A Place for Real Relationships: The early church thrived on authentic community. They shared life together, bore one another’s burdens, and grew in faith side by side. Our chapters create these same deep relationships—providing accountability, encouragement, and real brotherhood and sisterhood in Christ.
4. Spirit-Led Gatherings: Like the early church, Saved Life Chapters operate with flexibility. They don’t follow rigid programs but instead allow space for the Holy Spirit to lead. Prayer, worship, studying Scripture, and open discussions shape each gathering, ensuring that the focus remains on Christ.
5. Missional and Outreach-Oriented: The First Century Church was not an institution; it was a movement. Saved Life exists to spread the Gospel in everyday places, reaching people where they are—whether in recovery, the workplace, or their homes. Each chapter is not just a meeting but a mission, actively engaging the lost and broken.

At The Well of Pensacola, we believe that recovery is not just for those struggling with addiction—it’s for all of us as believers. According to 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV), “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Recovery is the process of transformation, of becoming more like Christ. Whether we are overcoming sin, healing from past wounds, or learning to walk in freedom, we are all on a journey of renewal through Him. Here at The Well, we embrace that process together, growing in grace, truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit. We do recover...together.
